周勤，祖籍浙江安吉县，生于江苏射阳。
南京大学经济学博士，中国社科院工业经济研究所应用经济学博士后。
现任东南大学经济管理学院 副院长，教授，博士生导师，江苏省政协委员，经济委员会委员；
兼任产业经济研究中心主任，国家发展与改革委员会公用事业研究中心高级研究员，南京大学长江三角洲经济与社会发展中心特约研究员，北京天则研究所高级研究员，江苏省西方经济学学会常务理事等；
担任多家上市公司的独立董事和经济顾问；
主持或作为主要合作者参与国家级科研项目八项，省部级十二项和其他项目；
获得江苏省哲学与社会科学二等奖（唯一获奖者）和三等奖（唯一获奖者）各一项，其他奖项多次；
在国内核心刊物发表文章100篇以上，独立和合著出版专著四部，教材三部，是产业与金融研究领域国内知名学者。

1999年9月-2003年1月，南京大学商学院，博士毕业并被授予经济学博士学位；
1992年9月-1995年7月，南京大学商学院，硕士毕业并被授予经济学硕士学位；
2、工作：
2011年1月－2011年8月，美国富德姆大学（fordham university）金融系访问学者；
2003年9月-2006年4月，中国社会科学院工业经济研究所应用经济学博士后；
1995年7月-至今，东南大学经济管理学院讲师、副教授、教授，金融系副主任、主任；院长助理，副院长，博士生导师；
1984年8月-1992年7月，南京第一化工仪表厂技术员、助理工程师。

(一)教学：
主要担任本科生、硕士研究生和博士研究生的教学任务，包括产业经济学专业和mba的课程。主要课程如下：微观经济学（本科生示范课程），管理经济学（emba，mba核心课程），产业经济学和管制经济学（产业经济学专业的学位课程和选修课程）
（二）研究生培养：
已经指导毕业产业经济学和金融学专业硕士研究生50名，目前指导产业经济学和金融学博士研究生9名，8名产业经济学的硕士研究生，博士后4人，每年指导10名左右的mba和emba的学位论文。
